Zozobra Newbie? Get ready for Santa Fe’s hottest party! One of New Mexico’s most enduring icons, Zozobra, aka Old Man Gloom, was created in 1924 by legendary artist Will Shuster and is now set ablaze annually by the Santa Fe Kiwanis Club. The 95th Burning of Zozobra on the Friday before Labor Day, August 30, 2019, is a highlight of Santa Fe’s summer season. And it's the best way to shake off gloom and fire up fun! 2019, Year Six of the Decades Project, lest the Force be with you as Zozobra encounters the 1970s! This is an All Ages Event!
Date: The 95th Burning of Will Shuster’s Zozobra takes place on the Friday, August 30, 2019.
Time: 4:30 pm Gates Open.
The Burning of Zozobra Event Location: It takes place at Fort Marcy Park, located a few short blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza.
Admissions: The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe has dedicated itself to keeping Zozobra as Santa Fe’s most affordable, fun, family-friendly event. General Admission Tickets are still only $10, and KIDS 10 & UNDER ARE STILL ABSOLUTELY FREE! With an additional $10, you can upgrade to our new express check-in, which makes getting into the venue even easier. BUYING EARLY IS THE BEST IDEA: On the day of the event only, August 30, 2019, General Admission Tickets are $15 per person

Event Schedule: 4:30 pm Gates Open; 7:00 pm Official Pre-Show Entertainment; 8:00 pm Grupo Fantasma; 9:00 pm Beach Ball Toss and Song; 9:30 pm Zozobra Show Begins
NOTE: Zozobra is a rain-or-shine event, weather permitting. Weather conditions may require an earlier or later start. Lights out at 9:33 p.m., again weather permitting. and then it's time for the Burning of Zozobra for the 95th time since 1924!
