Donkey Hike at Cerrillos Hills State Park
More than just pretty faces, donkeys played an important role in the mining history of the Cerrillos Hills. Come hike with live donkeys and learn about their biology, habits, and hardy nature.
Weather appropriate attire, sturdy shoes, water and a snack to refresh yourself are recommended. Expect a hike length of about 1.5 miles.

Location: Cerrillos Hills State Park. Meet at the main park entrance, 1/2 mile north of Cerrillos Village on County Road 59.
Cost: To streamline your arrival, bring $5 per vehicle exact change cash or check and follow the self-permitting process.
Free with a valid New Mexico State Parks pass.
