Madrid Old Coal Mine Museum

From gold to coal, Madrid has a rich mining history, and this museum chronicles it all. You’ll see mining equipment, old cars, antiques and other relics from Madrid’s era as a “company town,” which drew some 3,000 people in its heyday. You can climb aboard and ring the bell of a 1901 769 Richmond Steam Engine, and bring the sounds of a fascinating period back to life.
