Tesuque Pueblo
A 10-mile drive north from Santa Fe takes visitors to the Tesuque Pueblo, located off US 84/285 in the Sangre de Cristo foothills. Established around 1250, Tesuque is one of the oldest pueblos in the Southwest and, with a population of 800, one of the smallest pueblos. Tesuque Pueblo holds fast to its traditional religious beliefs and ceremonies. Throughout the year, the pueblo celebrates with feasts and dances. The public is welcome at the celebrations, but visitors are asked to follow pueblo rules. The pueblo is also home to Camel Rock, a naturally eroded sandstone formation that resembles a camel’s head.

Driving Directions
Take I-25 north to the St. Francis exit. St. Francis will become US-84/285. Turn right on County Road 591/County Road 73. Turn right on Arroyo Griego. Bear right on Bishop’s Lodge Road.
