Amigos’ Art in the Park and annual Turquoise Trail Pack Burro Race - Join the village of Cerrillos for a fun day featuring local art vendors, live music and bake sale combined with the annual Turquoise Trail pack burro race. Enjoy a presentation by the New Mexico Wildlife Center. Held along with the annual Pack Burro Race. Support the Amigos annual fundraiser for the Park. The artists are set up on the grounds of the State Park visitor center from 9am-3pm.
The Pack Burro Race with 60 teams will start at 10am on First Street. Racers and their burros run a 3 or 6 mile course in the state park. This is a timed event with an awards ceremony afterwards. Cheer on your Favorite Burro Racing Team!
