Las Posadas on the Historic Santa Fe Plaza 

Join the New Mexico History Museum and Santa Fe Fiesta, Inc. for a timeless tradition returns to the historic Santa Fe Plaza. Celebrated around the world, Las Posadas recreates Mary and Joseph’s search for a place of shelter in the days leading up to the birth of Jesus.  The candle-lit procession will begin at 5:30pm on the Santa Fe Plaza and conclude with carols, and good cheer. An Event for the whole family. 

Cookies and hot apple cider will be served under the Palace of the Governors’ Portal, hosted by the New Mexico History Museum. Please arrive early to the Plaza for your procession candle. 

Note: The Museum will close at 3:00 p.m. to prepare for this free public event.
