Las Posadas on the Plaza
Las Posadas on the Plaza
Please join us for the 49th annual candle-lit procession of Las Posadas presented by the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Española, along with Coro Agua de Fria, newly coordinated by Santa Fe Fiesta, Inc. This cherished event reenacts the journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for a place to stay in Bethlehem. The procession travels around the Santa Fe Plaza and concludes with traditional carols at the Santa Fe Plaza Bandstand.
Cookies and hot apple cider will be served under the Palace of the Governors’ Portal, hosted by the New Mexico History Museum.
Please arrive early to receive your procession candle.
Note: The Museum will close at 3:00 p.m. to prepare for this free public event.
