MANZANARES

Manzanares is known for their fiery guitar melodies, sizzling Latin percussion, and soulful vocals combining to create their own high-energy and distinctive sound that has been labeled Nuevo Latino. The group is led by brothers, David, and Michael Manzanares, and features the virtuosic rhythms of their band. 

SIMPATICO

Simpatico, founded in 1994 in Santa Fe by David M. Vigil and Antonio Ortiz, emerged on the professional scene with their 1999 debut CD La Inundación, earning multiple New Mexico Hispano Music and Entertainers Association awards for their hit song “Botellitas.” The current lineup features Vigil, Ortiz, Leroy Montoya (keys/accordion), Chris Sandoval (drums), and Antonio Ortiz Jr. (bass).
Their 2004 self-titled follow-up CD showcased a more mature sound and brought further acclaim, including wins for “La bOmba,” “Hombres y Mujeres,” and “Corazoncito.” After a 14-year recording hiatus, the band returned in 2018 with the successful singles “Escondidos” and chart-topping “Ya Supe Lupe,” followed by award-winning tracks “Yo Quisiera Detenerte” and “Mujer de Mi Vida.”
In recent years, Simpatico has continued releasing original music, earning nominations for “Seas Para Mi” and “Y Cuando Te Vi,” and unveiling a new release “Mi Amor” in 2025 for their upcoming album. With over forty nominations and ten awards from only three CDs, Simpatico remains a high-energy group known for both traditional rancheras and lively Tejano-style cumbias
