The Turquoise Trail Studio Tour- 1st Weekend
Join us for the Turquoise Trail Studio Tour on September 19-20 & September 26-27, where world-class art meets rugged adventure along the stunning Scenic Byway of the Turquoise Trail. This unique event invites you to explore historic mining towns and breathtaking landscapes while visiting talented artists in their natural habitats.
Discover a vibrant marketplace featuring painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, fiber artists, glass artists, jewelers, and more. Launched in 2021 as a response to the Covid shutdown, this tour revitalizes the connection between artists and the community, celebrating the spirit and beauty of Northern New Mexico that has inspired generations, including renowned figures like Georgia O’Keeffe and Allan Houser.
The Turquoise Trail Association, formed in 2005, has helped preserve this artistic legacy, rooted in the traditions of the Native American artists of the San Marcos Pueblo. Experience the cerulean skies, red rock formations, and the rich cultural heritage that make this region a haven for creativity.
During the last two weekends of September, visit artists from Santa Fe, Cerrillos, Madrid, and Cedar Crest as they open their studio and gallery doors. Engage with them, observe live demonstrations, and collect a diverse array of eclectic artwork. Don’t miss this opportunity for an unforgettable adventure filled with art and inspiration!
