Ranger Hike at Cerrillos Hills

Ranger Hike at Cerrillos Hills

Join Cerrillos Hills for a midweek ramble. Topics will vary and be partly guided by your questions about the natural and cultural history of these ancient hills.

Last time,  the geology, visible landforms, and the multicultural mining history of galenda deposits were discussed. And the old primary route to Santa Fe, today's park road, Camino Turquesa.

Expect some hiking uphill and varied surfaces ranging from sandy to rocky. Pack snacks, water, and wear sturdy shoes. Dogs on leash welcome.
